Dr. and Mrs. David B. Williams, owners

A commitment to quality care became the foundation of their philosophy when Dr. and Mrs. David Williams purchased the 188-acre farm that is also their home. Residing on the farm allows David, who has a Ph.D. degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of Kentucky, to personally direct the nutrition schedule and monitor the performance of each horse at Melrose Stable.

As the owner of Producer Feeds Company in Louisville, known for “Excellence in Equine Nutrition Since 1869,” he applies the latest advancements in nutrition science to the development equine feeds and supplements. He also provides nutrition consultation services to owners of horse farms in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Indiana.

Betty-Gayle actively participates in all aspects of farm operations on a daily basis. She has served as the volunteer leader of the county 4-H Horse Club for more than ten years. Working as a team, along with their farm manager, Dr. David and Betty-Gayle are committed to providing the components that will ensure that each horse in their care can reach its highest potential in health and performance.

Their daughter, Stacie Williams Herron, has been an active exhibitor of American Saddlebreds in the equitation, three-gaited, and pleasure divisions.
