Located in the Heart of the Bluegrass, Melrose Stable shares in the same traditions found in Lexington and surrounding counties, traditions that run deep in the world of saddlebred owners, breeders, and trainers. The area’s gently rolling topography and abundant nutrient-rich grass provide an ideal environment for horses.
Eighty-five percent of the farm acreage is composed of Maury, McAfee, and Caleast silt loam soils, the most highly desired limestone-based soils associated with the Bluegrass region. Central Kentucky is considered the horse capitol of the world, largely because of these natural resources.
At Melrose Stable, your horse will be cared for by experienced people who truly love horses and the horse business.
